The Idaho Neurological Institute at Saint Alphonsus

The Idaho Neurological Institute (INI) at Saint Alphonsus has been the region's leading resource for treating people with complex neurological disorders for over ten years. Serving Idaho, eastern Oregon and northern Nevada, the INI uses an integrated system of care to provide services ranging from acute care to rehabilitation, education, prevention and on-going care. The INI is comprised of highly qualified neurosurgeons trained in a variety of sub-specialties, including: neurologists, neuroradiologists, neuroanesthesiologists, traumatologists, physiatrists, psychiatrists, intensivists and vascular surgeons; as well as neuro-certified nurses and other healthcare professionals.

At the INI, advanced technology is placed in the hands of a caring and compassionate staff to provide patients with exceptional care. A continuum of neurological care services are provided through the coordination of human, technological, and financial resources which meet the unique physical, psychological and spiritual needs of each neurologically impaired patient. Neurological illness or injury can occur at many levels; from sleep disorders to disabling stroke to traumatic head injury. Our ultimate goal is to return each individual to an optimum level of physical and intellectual function.

The INI is structured programmatically, with many programs having a multidisciplinary team approach to better support and serve the patient. A continuum of neurolocial care services are provided at the INI, including: Complex spine management; Movement disorders; Neurosurgery, Pain management; Sleep disorders and Stroke and Vascular Care Services. The care teams at the INI work together to provide fast, accurate diagnosis of spinal cord injuries, tumors of the brain and spine, spine deformities, aneurysms, stroke and hemorrhages, and other neurological disorders. INI physicians, through the use of the most advanced technology available, diagnose nervous system problems and dysfunctions. These advanced technologies include: Bi-plane Angiography Suite; MRI; Neuropathology; and a state-of-the-art 64-slice CT scanner.

The Idaho Neurological Institute welcomes patient referrals for consultation and/or treatment. Physicians at the INI offer diagnostic, consultative, and therapeutic services for all neurosurgical problems.
